Happy Thanksgiving! Before I head out to go jogging before the incredible feast, I wanted to send out this newsletter with conservancy news and information on various upcoming events from our partners and friends.

New Blog a Huge Success
We are incredibly pleased at the amount of “hits” and comments we are receiving in response to the new Highland Conservancy blog. If you have interesting conservation news or an environmentally related story, please email it to: artfingers at comcasat.net . It is wonderful how quickly the blog is taking off! We invite you to visit the blog for interesting topics and articles of concern. Our goal is to publish articles biweekly if not more often so keep checking back! To mark it as one of your favorites-here is the link: www.highlandconservancy.typepad.com

Oakland and Macomb Land Conservancies Merge
Macomb Land Conservancy is merging with Oakland Land Conservancy resulting in OLC extending their services all the way to Lake St. Clair. As a result, OLC will be considering a name change to incorporate their broader mission and service area. We work closely with OLC and support and applaud their efforts.

Volunteer Opportunities
During this holiday season there are many opportunities to get out there and get some exercise to work off that turkey and pie. It is also the best time for invasive shrub removal. Here are a few that could use your help:
